Challenge & Objectives
Country House Weddings approached us to support and improve their suite of websites built by another agency, on an ongoing basis. They wanted reactive support and proactive maintenance, along with the ability to make continual feature additions, and improvements to their existing portfolio of websites.
Country House Weddings chose our monthly Support & Maintenance and Evolve plans which aligned perfectly with their goals.
As part of their Support & Maintenance plan, we make regular tweaks and improvements to optimise the overall performance of their 7 venue websites. This includes optimising for speed, security and stability. It also gives the client the ability to raise tickets for any bugs or issues, across all of their sites.
Our Evolve retainer plan includes a set amount of time each month allocated to Country House Weddings, for us to implement feature requests. Each month they can speak with their account manager to discuss new and existing ideas, and to prioritise what feature, additions or revisions will be worked on in the next month.
Some key Evolve tasks carried out so far have been:
New Venue Site
We built a new site for their Bourton Hall venue, to match their existing portfolio of venue websites.
New Pub & Hotel Site
We built a new website for a pub/hotel they own, close to one of their wedding venues. Here, guests attending weddings at Clearwell Castle can book lodgings and meals.
Food & Drink Area Across All Venue Sites
We added a food and drink section to each venue site, highlighting the catering options available, sample menus for download, bar facilities, and drinks menus. We also added dinner slot booking to allow for restaurant dinner bookings, during Covid restrictions.
To reduce the impact of Covid on future bookings, we initially made use of existing Youtube footage to create virtual tours for the venues, allowing potential customers to experience the venues without in person visits. We then upgraded this further to 3D virtual tours, so visitors could experience a more realistic visit.
We implemented a notification bar on every site, allowing Country House Weddings to quickly add important information and updates for visitors to their sites.
We designed and developed a navigation spotlight dropdown for each venue site, providing quick access to all venues, brochure downloads, and the key USPs that Country House Weddings offer, when booking a wedding with them.
Improvements To Existing Pages
We rolled out improvements to their Special Offers pages, and made UX improvements to their contact pages, to improve the experience of users at various stages of their wedding venue selection process.
Through Support & Maintenance and Evolve, we have been able to greatly improve the speed and performance of each of Country House Weddings’ 7 venue websites, and continually add important new features and changes, which allows their websites to grow with them as a business.
