We’ve been integrating WordPress into the websites we build since 2008. By sponsoring one of the many WordPress conference / events allows us to give back to the community based project.
WordCamp is a conference dedicated to everything WordPress and the Manchester WordCamp is just one of 850+WordCamps worldwide that are hosted throughout the year.
WordPress powering over 30% of all websites that are online, you can see why there is such a high number of events hosted throughout the globe.
They are ideal for those looking at learning more about WordPress development, plugins, security and advanced techniques on how to produce more successful websites using WordPress.
Last year we attended our first WordCamp. After nearly 10 years of integrating WordPress into the websites we build, we had never once attended one of the conferences.
The London (our local) conference had already taken place and we were keen to learn more about the WordPress roadmap, especially more about the upcoming Gutenberg update.
With a variety of speakers throughout the day, myself and Martin headed up and made a great weekend out of it. Meeting many new faces in the WordPress community and also learning too.
This year we want to share the experience with some more of the team whilst also helping to give back to those who work tirelessly on creating a platform that is used by so many and at no cost.
By helping to fund these events, it allows those involved to get together and share their thoughts, knowledge and experience in working in WordPress, whilst also showing some gratitude for allowing us to continuously profit from integrating WordPress into the websites we build. A token to the value it brings our business and our clients.
WordCamp Manchester is being held at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business school building on Saturday October 27th.
MMU New Business School
All Saints Campus
Oxford Road
Manchester
M15 6BH
Tickets are from £35
There is an after party being held at the MMU Students Union where you can grab yourself a few drinks after the conference has finished.
The contributor day is being held on Sunday 28th October at Ziferblat in the Northern quarter.
Want to learn more about WordPress? or maybe a particular topic? If you’re interested in WordPress or just being part of the community then read more about the schedule of speakers or learn more about the event.
The after parties are always a good place to catch up with some of the speakers and other guests to discuss ideas, views or simply to enjoy an evening out with a beer.
There are tickets still available either for the conference or the contributor day.
We will be attending both days, and will be definitely getting involved in the after party, so look out for our team in their Impact T Shirts and come and say hello.
