Impact Media Is Now A G-Cloud 15 Supplier

Impact Media has been appointed as a supplier on G-Cloud 15, the UK government’s framework for buying cloud services. Public sector organisations can now commission our WordPress support and maintenance services directly through the Digital Marketplace, without running a full tender.

It’s a milestone we’re proud of. It recognises the standards we work to every day, and it opens the door for us to help more councils, schools, NHS bodies and charities keep their websites secure, accessible and well looked after.

What Is G-Cloud 15?

G-Cloud is the UK government’s main route for public sector bodies to buy cloud-based services. G-Cloud 15 is the latest iteration, and the most significant change to the framework since it launched in 2012.

A few things that set this latest version apart:

• It runs for four years, twice as long as G-Cloud 14, giving buyers and suppliers more stability.
• It’s an open framework under the Procurement Act 2023, the first G-Cloud to work this way, which means it reopens to new suppliers during its lifetime rather than being replaced every couple of years.
• It’s managed by the Government Commercial Agency (GCA), the new name for Crown Commercial Service since April 2026.
• Suppliers must meet tougher standards, including Cyber Essentials certification, financial checks, and insurance requirements.

We’ve been listed under Lot 3, Cloud Support, which covers services that help organisations run, maintain and improve cloud-based systems, including their websites.

What You Can Buy From Us Through G-Cloud

Our G-Cloud 15 listing is Website Support & Maintenance, ongoing care for a cloud-hosted WordPress or WooCommerce site.

• Updates and patching – WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, applied and tested so nothing breaks quietly.
• Security – monitoring, malware scanning, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Performance and availability – monitoring with alerting, so we usually know before you do.
• Accessibility – testing and remediation against WCAG 2.2 AA, including checking that updates don’t erode compliance over time.
• Technical support – a named delivery manager, a ticketing system, and contractual response times rather than best endeavours.
• Training and reporting – CMS training for your editors, and a monthly report you can put in front of your own stakeholders.

It’s bought as a monthly retainer or as an allocation of support time, with rates published on the Digital Marketplace.

What G-Cloud Doesn’t Cover And What To Do Instead

G-Cloud is a framework for cloud services, so some of what we do sits outside it. Website design and build, migrations delivered as a project, content and search work are not available through G-Cloud, from us or anyone else.

That isn’t a problem, it just means a different route. Depending on the value and your own procurement rules, that might be a direct award under your internal thresholds, a quotation exercise, or another framework. We’re happy to talk through which applies before you commit to anything.
