Their website needed to do the heavy lifting, projecting professionalism, standing out from dated competitors with difficult to use, and slow websites, and integrating seamlessly with their recruitment operations.

Challenge & Objectives
The business owner had experienced the pitfalls of off-the-shelf web solutions firsthand. A previous website for another of his business’ built on a pre-made theme had left him frustrated. It was slow, inflexible, and impossible to scale. For Kedro, he wanted something built properly from the ground up.
The construction recruitment market is crowded, and much of the competition relies on outdated, difficult-to-navigate websites. Kedro’s opportunity was clear: a professional, user-friendly website could immediately set them apart and signal to potential clients that they were a serious, modern agency.
The other non-negotiable was integration with Bullhorn, the market-leading recruitment platform, which would need to connect seamlessly with the new site to keep their operations running smoothly.
They approached several web development agencies before choosing Impact. The deciding factor was our process, particularly the discovery workshops and wireframing stage before any design or development begins.

Website Discovery & Strategy Workshop
We began with structured workshops bringing together Kedro’s key stakeholders. Rather than jumping straight into design, we took the time to truly understand the business, their audience, and their goals, including specific compliance requirements relevant to their industry.
From this we built detailed user personas, which shaped every decision made throughout the project.
Wireframing & Design
With a clear picture of who the website needed to serve and how, we mapped out 10+ page templates across mobile and desktop.
Wireframes and interactive prototypes were shared with the Kedro team to review and test before a single pixel of visual design was produced.
This process meant the final designs, professional and distinctive without being a bland B2B site, were built on a solid strategic foundation.
Custom Integration With Bullhorn
Bullhorn sits at the heart of Kedro’s business, managing their roles and application process. We built a custom integration so that the website and Bullhorn communicate seamlessly, automating processes and removing manual admin. Candidates get a smooth experience from job search to application, and Kedro’s team isn’t left managing two systems separately.
Tailored Role Search
We built a filtering system that gives candidates a genuinely useful, tailored job search experience, not a generic list of roles.
Individual job listings also feature the relevant Kedro team member, adding a personal touch that helps the agency stand out in a sector where relationships matter.
Engaging Animation
To create a more engaging experience, without sacrificing page load times, we employed simple animations.
These create more visual interest, and make the site feel more finessed and professional overall.
