Challenge & Objectives
Tungsten Publishing are the publishers of Global Custodian; the leading magazine covering the international securities services business. We support their 4 WordPress websites. Three built by other companies, and one built more recently by us.
They approached us in 2019 for Support for their 3 websites (at the time): Global Custodian, The Trade, & The Trade Crypto. They selected Impact Media due to the in-depth technical knowledge and ability we have with WordPress, which many other support agencies lack.
Solution
Website Health Check Audits
As we do for all those interested in our WordPress Support services, we carried out Health Check audits on their sites to identify how they were built, how healthy they were, how trafficked they were, and what custom features and functionality they had. This allows us to make the right choice in the Support package – whether one of our Basic, Essential or Criticals plans, or something more custom.
Support Plan Selection
Tungsten’s main site ‘Global Custodian’ is business critical, so they chose a Critical plan with SLA for its support, and Essential plans for their other 2 sites. Due to having multiple sites with us, this qualified them for our 10% multi-site discount.
Alongside this they also chose an Evolve plan for ongoing development of their existing sites; adding new features and areas. We were also chosen to develop a fourth site for them, Tungsten, their group website (which we also now support).
Support Plan Contents
As well as day to day support and maintenance such as updates, and performance optimisation, we handle all support tickets raised, to ensure their sites are always up and running smoothly, so that their advertising revenue is not jeopardised, and their users face no interruption in accessing important business news.

- System for reporting visual bugs straight from their site
Additional Support
As mentioned above, on top of their support plan, Tungsten also chose an Evolve plan with us, allowing for ongoing development and evolution of their sites.
As part of this, we recently built them a WordPress digital events solution, to allow them to proceed with their scheduled events during the pandemic, and in the future. This has already been used for 2 events ‘Leaders in Trade’ & Leaders in Custody. For each of these events, the client chose to have us provide real-time support, so that a member of our team was on hand to monitor, and jump to action should any technical issues arise.
