Blogs, both professional and personal, often require visual aids to give them more aesthetic appeal and to aid the message contained within the copy. If you don’t have a back catalogue of stock photos or haven’t snapped the subject yourself, locating an image without infringing copyright issues can be a headache.
To take some of the pain out of finding good quality pictures, Google Image Search has launched an additional feature which will filter results on their licence level. This means you can easily find Creative Commons images along with other licence-free or restricted licence pictures.
To utilise this update simply go into the Google Image Search section and select Advanced Image Search. Here you’ll find a drop down box under the title Usage Rights, which can be used to filter out pictures from your search that are copyrighted or require a licence to distribute.
