It has been revealed that Bing has become more popular in the US, although it still trails Google by a long way.
A study released by Experian Hitwise showed that the search engine owned by Microsoft saw a seven per cent increase in use from September to October of this year, reports Net Imperative.
The news provider explained that the study is based on four-week rolling periods throughout the year and is taken from a sample of ten million online users.
It was found that although Google still holds the lion’s share of the market with 70.6 per cent, Bing now accounts for 9.57 per cent of this figure.
This puts the company in third place behind Yahoo!, which hosted 16.14 per cent of the searches carried out in October.
Recently, Experian Hitwise released a report which showed that the number of visits to property websites in the UK has gone up by 4.8 per cent in October on a year-on-year basis.
